Fresh Mushrooms
Meadow Mushrooms specialises in the production of fresh mushrooms, producing on average 140 tonnes a week of different varieties.
The mushrooms we grow are as follows:
- White Buttons
- Swiss Browns (brown buttons – immature Portabellos)
- Portabellos (mature brown buttons)
The traditional white button makes up the majority of our production but the brown mushrooms are still extremely popular.
The brown mushrooms are a different strain to the white mushrooms, and have been developed to have a slightly stronger, more ‘mushroomy’ flavour with a firmer texture.
Our Fresh Mushroom range incorporates loose whole mushrooms, bagged whole mushrooms, Prepacked mushrooms and sliced mushrooms.
