Swiss Brown

Swiss Browns are the baby of the Portabello mushroom family, they are a brown button mushroom that has a bold, robust flavour.  They can be eaten raw, but also add a stronger mushroom flavour to cooked dishes.  Swiss Browns are perfect for cooked dishes like risotto, stir fry, sauces and stews.  They also make fantastic kebabs, either vegetarian or meat with peppers and red onion. Swiss Brown are rich in selenium and the B vitamin group - a 100gm handful will give you 100% of your daily vitamin B7 needs, 33% of selenium, and 61% of niacin.
